NDA, is a key part of the Fundamental & Reference Data Domain being the data warehouse for Reuters Equity, Time series and Market reference data. The NDA development group are responsible for developing and supporting the applications that collect data into the NDA database and the applications that distribute the data to Reuters products. These include Reuters 3000 Xtra and Datascope Equities.
The NDA Data Design Team is part of the Business Engagement Team (BET). The BET is the main liaison between Reuters Development and the business organisation for requirements specification and business and process improvement.
The NDA Data Design team owns the NDA Data Model, the Logical and Physical Database Design. The team’s main function is to gather and analyse business and technical requirements, synthesise those requirements into models. The team designs and transforms the logical models to physical models for implementation. The team is also responsible for ensuring that all development and enhancements to the models adhere to NDA data design principles and guidelines. The team supports projects in the production of data models.
The successful candidate will have a development background with experience of the full software development lifecycle (from requirements definition through to implementation and support).
Responsibilities include the following:：
1、Gathering of requirements from business and technical groups
2、Validation and analysis of requirements
3、Transformation of requirements into relational data models
4、Design of physical databases and associated functions
5、Maintaining the NDA Data Models and other data models that we own and support
6、Providing support to business project teams using the NDA Models
7、Reviewing logical and physical data models for compliance with NDA data design principles
8、Participating in and contributing to the overall NDA data design work in the Group
9、Publicising and championing the NDA Data Designs
This is a demanding role, requiring someone prepared to work on cross-group data design issues, and to become a source of expertise within NDA Development Group.

1、4 - 5 years Data Modelling design experience
2、3 -5 years experience of Oracle PL/SQL;
3、Ability to understand complex technical issues quickly and assess the impact of change
4、Ability to forge relationships with key reference data personnel
5、Ability to understand reference data business processes
6、Ability to provide design insight for applications owned by team
7、Review requirements and understand business and technical implications
8、Good knowledge of Unix / Solaris
