Job Description:
As part of Mintels commitment to develop our business, we are looking to recruit a software tester to join our newly formed Shanghai Development Team in April 2008.
The Position
You will work within a small Shanghai based team under the direction of the Development Team Leader, ensuring that our business systems are tested and perform as specified. You will help to assess the quality of functional and system specifications, ensuring that requirements are complete and testable.
You will plan functional, unit, integration, performance, usability and acceptance testing as appropriate. You will carry out tests, recording successes and raising bug reports where issues are found. You will work to improve our automated functional and regression testing systems. You will work with our other development teams based in the UK and USA, ensuring that Chinese developments are tested to the same quality standards as that of our other teams .

Your Skills and Experience
You will have studied Computer Science or a related discipline at university, and graduated with excellent results You will have gained some testing experience either through a previous internship or through university project work You will be able to communicate effectively in English, being able to discuss quality of solutions with technical and non-technical personnel You should enjoy working in a team environment and cope well under pressure You will be able to gain understanding of current systems within a short timeframe, becoming productive quickly Starting salaries are highly competitive and based on an assessment of your key skills.
