a. Requirements:
1) 3 years or more experience in Oracle/DB2/SQL Server Administration/Trouble shooting/Performance tuning/Backup-Restore.
2) 1 year or more experience in SUN Solaris/HP Unix (System Level)
3) 2 years or more experience in database development with experience in Function/Procedure/Trigger/Sql
4) Possess good communication skill (both oral and written) in English and Chinese, is a must.
5) Possess ability to organize time & priorities and attentive to detail.
6) Experience with Data Warehouse/Data Mining/OLAP is an advantage.
7) Experience with Java/C# language is an advantage.
8) Experience with Oracle 9i OCP is an advantage.

b. Job description:
Responsible for the selection, installation, design, construction, implementation, operation, maintenance, monitoring, tuning & administration of application/system database to meet business needs. Key responsibilies may include respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated; conduct root cause analysis & implemnt pro-active measures & monitor effectiveness of implemented measures; plan, design, install & migrate the database in accordance to specifications & service level, implement automation tools script, where possible; manage database changes through change reuest process & provide status reports to the relevant parties; plan & carry out tasks to rollout changes to the database environment; evaluate, recommend & select the software & tools to improve the database environment; monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the datbase objects & provide regular reporting to relevant parties; provide database access path related technical support & advice to the applicaiton team; etc.
